Harbor and Hue Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Harbor and Hue, a hair salon, collects when you contact us through Facebook Messenger, Instagram direct messages, or comments on our Facebook and Instagram posts, and how we use it.

What we collect

• Your name and the profile ID that Facebook or Instagram shares with us when you message or comment.
• The content of your messages and comments.
• Any photos or files you send us, such as inspiration or current-hair photos.
• Booking details you give us, such as the service you want, preferred days and times, and appointment notes.

We only receive what you send us or what Meta provides for those conversations. We don't collect information from anywhere else on your account.

Why we use it

• To answer your questions about services, prices and availability.
• To book, change or confirm appointments.
• To provide customer service and follow up on your visit.

How an AI assistant helps

An AI assistant helps us read incoming messages and draft or send replies about common questions and booking. Messages about emergencies, legal matters or medical concerns (for example allergic reactions or scalp conditions) are sent to the salon owner to handle personally.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information. We share it only with service providers we need to run messaging and booking. Harbor and Hue's messaging tools are set up and operated with help from UpShift LLC, a Florida company, acting as our service provider. Our providers may only use your information to provide those services to us. We may also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep messages and booking details for as long as we need them to serve you and keep reasonable business records. We delete technical message logs regularly and delete your information sooner if you ask (see below).

How to request deletion of your data

To ask us to delete the information we hold about you:

1. Email djmocke@me.com or send a message to the Harbor and Hue Facebook Page or Instagram account saying you'd like your data deleted.
2. We'll confirm your request and delete your messages, photos and booking details from our systems within 30 days.

Your conversation history inside Facebook or Instagram is controlled by Meta. You can delete it yourself in those apps.

Children

Our messaging services aren't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
